Groundwork Yorkshire has been funded by Humberside Police and Crimes Commissioner to deliver an innovative combined programme of public realm improvement and green skills training for young people and adults in Goole.

Participants will work in parks and green spaces in Goole and Old Goole with qualified horticulture tutors to improve green areas, providing safer spaces and reducing the perception of crime.

The programme is free to all participants. You will gain life skills, improve your confidence and achieve a nationally recognised NOCN Horticultural level 1 qualification as well as having a significant impact on the community.

Groundwork will cover public transport costs to site (in East Riding) and will provide each participant with lunch whilst on site.

Each programme will last six weeks and will take place on two days per week. Each working day will be 9am – 9pm with 30 minutes for lunch. We will provide appropriate PPE.

Numbers are limited to 15 per course. Three courses will be run in total, two in Goole and one in Old Goole.
